Charlotte Wibäck is the founder and principal of VGC. She advises boards, CEOs and communications leaders on life sciences communications, crisis, reputation, launches and high-stakes decision-making in regulated and complex environments.
Charlotte was headhunted to become CEO of Animech Communications in 2015 and bought the agency in 2017, evolving it into VGC. The practice has 25 years of life sciences heritage with clients including Galderma, Thermo Fisher Scientific, AbbVie, Beckman Coulter, GE Healthcare, Perrigo and Omega Pharma.
Recent work led by Charlotte includes Galderma's global aesthetics platform (galdermaaesthetics.com), Restylane Eyelight global launch, and Thermo Fisher Scientific global product launches. She has led the development of risk assessment, contingency planning and crisis communications for clients including Heineken. For Expertise France she led the RESEMBID "Champions of the Caribbean" campaign - an EU-funded programme on resilience, sustainable energy and marine biodiversity.
Charlotte's early career was with the United Nations system - WHO, UNICEF, UNDP and UNRWA - across conflict zones, disease outbreaks, post-coup transitions, tsunamis, and operating environments where communication was the difference between functional response and catastrophic failure. She has lived and worked across continents in regulated global health environments where the stakes are population-level outcomes.
Crisis is the thread that runs through Charlotte's career. She is trained in crisis communications, crisis preparedness, cyber resilience and information influence with the Swedish Armed Forces, the World Health Organization, the United Nations, the Swedish Civil Defence and Resilience Agency, and Psyopsförbundet (the Swedish association for psychological defence and resilience against disinformation). She has served on the board of Criscom for many years. She is a special advisor to Jordbruksverket, the Swedish Board of Agriculture. She runs crisis training for Sveriges Kommunikatörer, the Swedish Association of Communication Professionals.
She is often brought in, quietly, when clients are already in a crisis. Much of that work does not get named publicly.
That is the point.
Clarity under pressure.
25+ years across life sciences, crisis and complex environments
Charlotte works in complex environments, with complex products, where mistakes are not an option. Her practice combines 25+ years of senior advisory judgment with active fluency in current communications tools and AI capabilities - analog-trained judgment, current on the systems shaping reputation now.
